Gamestop now selling Android tablets

My 11-year-old son used to have a Nintendo DSI and he would often dedicate himself to acquiring some particular new game for it. Saving his money, doing chores, culling Christmas and birthday money. Then he’d drop $40 on the game, play it for 30 minutes and forget about it. Not a sustainable economic model for games, I would think. Now he has an iPod Touch and it’s filled with free games, 99-cent games, and the occasional $1.99 or $2.99 game. Low risk! Everyone’s happy! Except whoever made those sucky $40 games!

GameStop is now selling Android tablets at 1600 store locations on account of that’s a huge part of the future of gaming. I’m not sure if that’s enough to keep a place like GameStop in business since all the games are sold, you know, someplace else. But there you go.
