British Parliament wants Google to do more to hide illegal content

British Funkadelic has yet to comment because they’re too busy getting down to the groove. England had this kind of weird situation where Max Mosley, a bigshot in car racing, had been videotaped in a, oh, we’ll call it an adult situation with a group of people who get paid to get in adult situations. The News of the World made the tape available online, Mosley sued, saying it was an invasion of privacy, and he won. The video was ordered to be removed from the web, which is a little like ordering insects removed from the ground. A report is coming out next week where Google is expected to be harshly criticized for not doing enough to prevent access to the banned material.

Says the Guardian:

This is expected to underpin the basis of explicit criticism of Google, which committee members believe could do far more to help enforce court orders restraining publication or requiring the deletion of previously public material as a result of a privacy or other legal action.
