On the whole, the day might not add up to all that much for the economy. But how does it affect the individual?

This final note today: the economic advantages of adding a day to the year.

Not a whole lot, it turns out.

1/366th of added economic activity doesn’t really do much in the grand scheme of things.

Individually, though, think about this:

If you get an hourly wage, today was a chance to earn a little bit more money.

If you’re on salary, you basically worked for free today.
