HTC wasted no time ringing bells and blowing whistles about its new One series of phones. Rather than emphasize how thin they are or how they compare to the 20 other phones that look and act the same, HTC is trying to appeal to the gadget geeks. It is betting on an enhanced camera and software that is supposed to boost the quality of your mp3s. The camera can simultaneously take a 1080p video while shooting still pictures.

The phones feature HTC’s ImageSense camera technology that it says offers photography on a par with traditional digital cameras, including fast autofocus and low-light shooting. They also have photo storage and sharing software.
Music features include integrating Internet radio and using audio technology from Beats Electronics, which HTC bought last year, for games as well as music.

The phones will run on an Android operating system and will be available starting in April.
