Iran bans ‘Simpsons’ dolls

Barbie isn't allowed either.

This final note today, which is either a dictatorship run amuck or the best thing that could happen to children in Iran.

Reuters is reporting today that the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Tehran has banned dolls based on “The Simpsons” television show. Homer, Bart, Marge, the whole crew.

Also persona non-grata? Barbie. Spiderman and Superman, though, are okay — because they fight for the oppressed.
