Kodak files for Chapter 11

You pressed the button, they tried to do the rest

While yesterday was a pretty good day to be an anti-SOPA campaigner, it wasn’t such a hot day to be a company that built an empire on a swiftly dying technology. Talking about Kodak here, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. That doesn’t mean the company is shutting down, it just means it’s broke. But it’s hard to imagine how it really could reinvent itself in any kind of significant way since it was all about film. Kodak is also selling printers (oy), digital picture frames (ouch), and do-it-yourself photo books (yeesh).
