Online sales spike 16.4%, Apple devices favored

Stop the presses: people like shopping online! I know, right?

Bunch of stats flying around this morning and some seem to be queuing up the We’re In The Money song for Apple. A study from RichRelevance, which was conducted just before Christmas, indicates that 92% of all online purchases made from a machine other than a desktop device, were conducted with an Apple iOS device: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch. Possibly an indicator that Apple owners are more affluent or that they use their machines more or they trust their machines more.

In general, online sales were up 16.4% over last year.

Don’t you think “Rich Relevance” sounds like a charismatic Big 10 quarterback?
