If Hulu Plus really wants to be a legit alternative to Netflix, it has to start showing up on more platforms. And that’s what intends to do. Hulu Plus will soon be available on Nintendo’s Wii and the Nintendo 3DS. Can’t see the 3DS making much difference but the Wii could be big. It’s been a handy Netflix player for a long time, especially for families who often have one around the house.

Think about this: if you have Netflix for the big archive and Hulu Plus for recent shows, that’s about $17 a month. Compare that to a cable bill. As long as you don’t crave live sports, that’s a pretty dramatic comparison.
