In a new privacy statement, the in-car navigation provider OnStar, says it will collect your tracking and positioning data even if you don’t pay for the service. According to today’s Wall Street Journal report, the policy goes on to say that “the company can share that information with law enforcement, credit card processors and others.” Keeping the data connection alive isn’t mandatory. OnStar will allow users to opt out of the service. Well, that’s awfully nice of them.
