August’s unemployment numbers are out — and everything is the same: no new jobs added, unemployment still at 9.1 percent. Commentator Betsey Stevenson said the problem isn’t a lack of “skills.” Meanwhile, the government is preparing to sue banks over faulty mortgage loans. And the online daily deal industry is booming — but is it hurting businesses? We also had the weekly wrap with Felix Salmon and John Carney, and small talk from the Dinner Party Download. Here are the songs we played:

• Love Jones – J DillaBuy

• Will My Feet Still Carry Me Home – Elf PowerBuy

• Let’s Call It Off – Peter Bjorn & JohnBuy

• A Beat Never Forgets – MochipetBuy

• Delicious Tears – Antn HrkwkBuy
