Playlist: Live, from the City of Commerce

For Marketplace, Fri., Aug. 12, 2011

Marketplace took a trip on Friday to the City of Commerce just outside Los Angeles to hear what everyday people have to say about the turmoil in the markets and the economy and, more importantly, what’s going on in the real economy right now. We questioned local business people such as Vicent V of furniture manufacturer NicoNat. And also, how does global and national economic news affect city governments? We go to Commerce city administrator Jorge Rifa to find out.

Here are the songs we played today:

• I Work the Whole City – Bernard Herrmann

• My City Was Gone – The PretendersBuy

• Crazy Town – Velocity GirlBuy

• Sparkle City – Shuggie OtisBuy
