Majority of execs expect business environment to deteriorate

Executives who think business conditions will worsen exceed those who are optimistic, as illustrated by The Economist’s Daily Chart. In May, a barometer co-produced by the magazine stood at positive 19.3 percentage points. In July, the index stood at negative 10.5 percentage points, after a survey of more than 1,500 executives.
