Summer’s winding down, taken a vacation yet? Some lucky employees can take as much vacation as they want, whenever they want. Some workplaces are letting their employees have free rein over their vacation time. Comedian Tim Bedore talks about why he’s glad to take a staycation at “Camp Mildew.”

Author Don Peck talks abotu his new book “Pinched,” which is about how Americans of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds are being affected by the recession and how those changes are sculpting American society. He also gives his insights on how to steer the American public towards a more optimistic future. Tess Vigeland asks Marketplace reporter and contributors where they’re putting their money, in light of the dropping Dow and the debt ceiling crisis.
