Congress has 13 days to come up with a deal on raising the debt ceiling. Britain’s scandal-hit tabloid, the News of the World, is getting shut down. Exxon’s oil is sullying fields and contaminating water much further downstream the Yellowstone River than originally thought. Small businesses are adopting the lean manufacturing strategies of larger companies like Toyota. Maryland high schools are teaching kids about getting jobs that require security clearance. Commentator David Frum argued that lawmakers in Congress should spend more time getting to know each other. And Tess spoke with Punam Anand Keller about auto-enrollment in 401(k)s.
