Parking officials in Detroit are going to start cracking down. As of tomorrow, they’ll be writing tickets until 10 p.m. weeknights. Right now, they clock out at 6. Local businessmen aren’t amused, including John Castiglione, he’s the chef at Rub Barbecue and Pub.

John Castiglione: Anywhere in the downtown district during the weekdays, we have a hard time drawing crowds, especially for restaurants and bars and clubs. And when people do have to come down here and also worry about parking and paying for parking, that’s just one reason why not to come downtown.
