Japanese researchers have developed a new camera that can swim in your colon, if that’s something that sounds like a good idea in your mind. The Mermaid can be used with a remote control to swim around your insides to give doctors an idea if things are good or bad in there. Even an upbeat name like “Mermaid” isn’t gonna win me over, the thing still looks like a 4 1/2 inch mini-torpedo, and I can’t NOT think about how it’s going to begin its journey.
