Research In Motion, the company behind Blackberry (the official smartphone of your dad’s boss), is having a rough go of it. Its first quarter numbers were down and the forecast for second quarter numbers is quite dismal. Besides that, the company’s COO just quit and there is a big round of layoffs coming. Also every Blackberry just exploded and all remaining employees fell off a ladder. Last sentence not true but not entirely implausible. There have been rumors in the past of potential deals to sell Research In Motion to Microsoft. It’ll be interesting to see if those kick back in.
