I lost out to Samuel L. Jackson. Remember a couple of weeks ago I read from the runaway kids’ book best-seller — Go the F* to Sleep.

Well, turns out the publishers have passed me over for the audio book version. Jackson’s gonna do it. Which is fine and all. Public radio guy vs. movie star.

But it does raise this question: What parent in their right mind is gonna have Samuel L. Jackson read their kid to sleep? I mean, that’s like a recipe for a nightmare right there.
