Sometimes I feel sorry for whoever handles government relations in Europe for American tech companies. They must get into work in the morning, grab some coffee, read over what’s on the docket, and just start pounding their heads against their desks. We had all the kerfuffle over Google Street View and the restrictions and limitations put on Google for driving down a public street with a camera. Now the French equivalent of the FCC has banned TV and radio networks from mentioning that they’re on Facebook or Twitter because to do so would be unfair to other social networks.
The ruling will probably not put Facebook out of business.
