There’s a new section on YouTube that offers video clips listed under a Creative Commons license. So if you’re making a video and you want to use a little clip of a flag waving or something, the equivalent of a stock photo, you can go there, get it, and use it. You just have to give it attribution. You can also now select if you want YOUR videos to be available as Creative Commons. This is a nice thing for YouTube to offer and the company is probably hoping that it can lead to fewer copyright hassles. People obviously rip clips from YouTube already, regardless of license. So maybe now people will go to this section directly instead.
