It’s about to be one year since Wall Street’s surprising ‘flash crash,’ when the Dow plunged 600 points in minutes due to one trade worth billions of dollars. The event still spooks investors, and measures have been taken since to try and prevent another one.

The Midwest continues to recover from recent storm floods — and more heavy damage could be on its way. Los Angeles is suing Deutsche Bank over the subprime loans that led to the foreclosure mess. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wants to unfreeze Libya’s assets. In Syria, many are aiming their anger and protests at one wealthy businessman.
