Among the most common errors are putting in the wrong Social Security number and forgetting to sign the return. In this interview from 2009 it was tax analyst Mark Luscombe’s most important piece of advice for tax filers.

Well probably just do it very carefully and very thoroughly because there are a lot of changes and sometimes these new things just fall through the cracks.
