This final note today, picking up where Heidi Moore left off: What we’re going to call the New York Stock Exchange now that it’s owned by the Germans. Except, it’s not really owned by the Germans.

In the interests of everybody knowing whereof they speak, here’s the deal. The two biggest shareholders of Deutsche Borse are American. They’re U.S. mutual fund companies. And it’s not like the NYSE wasn’t already international — remember the Euronext part of the name? That’s from a merger three years ago with exchanges in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.

So, still, what to call the Deutsche Borse-NYSE-Euronext building at the corner of Wall Street and Broad?

I don’t know.
