Italy’s Mount Etna stirred back to life overnight Wednesday, but only for a short while.
According to the Associated Press, the eruption spewed lava into the air and down the volcano’s slopes. A cloud of ash filled the night sky. The activity lasted about two hours, and nobody was injured, the AP reported.
Etna is Europe’s most active volcano. It’s been dormant since 1992.
