Playlist: Resolutions and charities

For Marketplace Money, December 31, 2010

On the eve of the new year, we questioned Marketplace regulars on what they’re wishing for in 2011, and listened to your resolutions. We also heard a lot about giving, from why we give to how charities are using social media and how others are recruiting professionals to help. There was also a story about how green hotels may be killing jobs, and about a new sort of friendlier payday lender. And Tess spoke to co-author John Gerzema about his perception of a “spend shift” in American consumerism. Here are the songs we played:

• Everything Counts – Depeche ModeBuy

• Kong – BonoboBuy

• We Made You – EminemBuy

• Amazing (Kanye West) – Writer’s Bloc

• Somebody’s Watching Me – RockwellBuy

• Supersonic – JJ FadBuy

• Trademark – Joe Satriani
