What does a computer look like when you no longer need to buy software to run it – or a hard drive to store your data? Google is offering a glimpse with its new sleek black Cr-48.

Engadget says it looks like ‘pure sex’. The device isn’t for sale – but is part of Google’s test of its new web based operating system. It’s name refers to an isotope of Chromium. Google’s sleek new black box is the most radical step yet toward moving all of your computing into the “cloud.” But this shift -if it happens – could have big implications for how we redefine some pretty basic western ideas in the coming century from privacy to property.
