According to a new survey of 2800 holiday shoppers, the e-reader race comes down to iPad and Kindle. Nobody else matters. Nook doesn’t matter. Kobo arguably never mattered. And Kindle is losing ground. Asked which e-reader customers were likely to buy in the next 30 days, 42% said iPad, 33% went with Kindle, Nook got 4%, Kobo did not appear to register. Poor Kobo.
When it comes to what devices people are using now, the survey says Kindle’s dominant position is down from 62% to 47% since August while iPad doubled from 16% to 32%.
