Build with straw bales

In places where heat-minimization is key, walls built with straw-bale insulation make a lot of sense. Not only is the product 100% natural, but working in tandem with cool concrete floors and some passive cross ventilation, straw bales can help keep air conditioner use to a minimum. They’re hardy and plentiful and beat the big rolls of that fluffy pink stuff.
