This final note today. You may have seen elsewhere in the news that today’s the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy being elected President. Which is why this item caught our eye this morning.

You too can own a piece of American history. A part of the cake from JFK’s 45th birthday party is being auctioned online. Wouldn’t make such a big deal out of it except it’s the cake from the party where Marilyn Monroe so famously sang, “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”

It can be yours for as little as $5,000. Kind of steep for a 48-year-old piece of cake, but…
