Viewers of ABC’s Nightline got a quick glimpse of a remote that Sony is preparing to go along with the new Google TV. And holy mackerel it looks awful. Look!

Wow. But the whole idea of Google TV is that it’s Google based and that means search based. And I guess it’s not like you’ll have a remote that points at each letter on a screen. No, you’ll probably need a QWERTY keyboard for something like that. Maybe an actual keyboard would work better but then it wouldn’t have all the control buttons that a TV remote would have.
