Do you remember school lunches? Apparently, they’re still not getting any tastier, or healthier, for that matter. But the School Nutrition Act is working to fix the latter, by getting the USDA more money to add healthier foods to the menu and better eating environments for students. We also heard commentary from David Frum, the editor of Frum Forum, on the intersection of politics and the economy, an interview with documentary filmmaker Charles Ferguson on the financial crisis, and stories on global wealth and why higher taxes might be good for the U.S. From New Delhi, Raymond Thibodeaux reported on the flourishing economy in Tibet. Back here at Marketplace, here are the songs we played:

  • Afro Surf – Shawn Lee’s Ping Pong OrchestraBuy

  • Leaders of the Free World – ElbowBuy

  • Four Winds – Bright EyesBuy

  • Kids – MGMTBuy
