From home foreclosures to Shell profits to Chinese pollution, up was the general direction of the day. It was a bit overwhelming, so we chose bridges at a mid-tempo to find our balance. Starting off with a Billie Holiday remix, dipping slowly into friendly guitars and then coming to a close with a wandering snippet from Maps. That’s a mix. We could have put in some more heart-pumping music to thrill-shock our listeners, but if we started the day at such a high, where would we go?
