You might remember the story reporter Ashley Milne-Tyte did on a push to clarify ink cartridge labels so that costs are more transparent to consumers.

Now, there’s news that changing the font you print documents with might save you thousands of dollars. Printer.com data shows that switching from Arial to Century Gothic helps save money because the amount of ink used by a narrower font is less than, say, something bolder or blacker.

But there is a catch. Using Century Gothic might prevent you from buying more ink cartridges, but not paper. The font is wider than Arial, so you may end up printing more pages.
