Higher price tag on Thanksgiving dinner
Economist Terry Francl with the American Farm Bureau Federation breaks down the cost of this year's holiday feast.

SCOTT JAGOW: Alright, it’s time to whip out the calculator and figure out how much that Thanksgiving dinner is gonna cost.
Let’s see, 16-pound turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie . . . feeds 10 people. Comes out to $38.10. That’s a $1.32 more than last year.
Terry Francl is with the American Farm Bureau, which keeps track of this stuff.
TERRY FRANCL: In terms of current dollars, it is the most expensive year. In terms of inflation-adjusted dollars, however, it is fairly well down on the list, it’s actually about third less than when we started the survey in 1986.
