Marketplace Marketplace

with Kai Ryssdal

Marketplace for Thursday, January 10, 2013

This flu season is shaping up to be one of the worst, and our economy is bound to be affected. With a boom in gold sales over the last decade, the demand for safes and vaults has risen. And when economic times are bad, pawn shops thrive -- but it seems now even high-end pawn shops are doing particularly well.
