A tax jackpot of sorts

The IRS has announced the maximum amount you can put into a tax-favored IRA or 401(k) or 403(b), and there’s an especially sweet spot for people who’ll be in their early sixties. If you are going to be between 60 and 63 years of age next year and have the ability to save some more for retirement, you’ll wan to listen up.

Tallying "incalculable" damages

Authorities in and around Valencia, Spain have extended traffic restrictions and school closures as the clean-up continues following last week’s terrible flash floods. More than 200 people were killed in the sudden high waters, and key roads and tunnels that have been left in ruins. The BBC’s Katie Silver reports.
