Betsy Streisand is Washington bureau chief and deputy managing editor for Marketplace. 

Before joining Marketplace in 2007, Betsy worked for more than 20 years at U.S. News & World Report, where she was a Washington-based editor and then West Coast senior reporter. Betsy’s first journalism job was at USA Today. She joined the paper in 1982, just prior to its launch.

Betsy attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, and earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University. A native of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, she lives in Washington, D.C.
