Ben Bradford

Ben comes to Marketplace after covering California politics and policy for Capital Public Radio in Sacramento, where NPR stations across the state relied on his state government reporting. Before that, he reported for WFAE in Charlotte, North Carolina, and covered the arrest and resignation of mayor Patrick Cannon after an FBI sting operation, the removal of the confederate flag from the South Carolina statehouse and the Duke Energy coal ash spill. A graduate of the Columbia Journalism School, he won a national Edward R. Murrow award in 2014 and multiple regional awards.
