Marketplace Morning Report for Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Spain’s very fragile economy has just limped out of recession after two years — but just barely. The country’s National Statistics Institute detected a .01 percent growth during the third quarter. But that wouldn’t tell the whole story of one of Europe’s top five economies, 13th in the world overall just behind Australia. And, the lawsuits are flying after a black college student says he was stopped by New York police after buying a $350 Ferragamo belt at Barneys. In a separate incident, actor Rob Brown says he was searched after buying his mother a $1,000 Movado watch at Macys. Marketplace Morning Report looks at how people of color are sometimes treated while shopping at high end stores.
