Plus, pending housing starts are disappointing and industrial production is up. Business spending was less than expected last week. Has the shutdown scared people that much — or are there other dark clouds on the horizon? And finally, even some Democrats are saying the sign-up period for the Affordable Healthcare Act should be extended.
