The price of oil is down. The price of moving it by sea is way up.

The increased risk from conflict in the Middle East carries a premium.

Since the ceasefire between Iran and Israel was announced, oil shipping costs increased 118%, said Matt Wright, a principal freight analyst at Kpler.
