Ahead of July 4, average gas prices jump about a nickel

Gas prices have recently been running higher in some states. According to AAA, gas prices have jumped about a nickel per gallon recently to a national average of about $2.73. And it’s just as 41 million motorists prepare to travel for the July 4 holiday. So what’s affecting gas prices?
