Canada’s Prime Minister in DC to discuss USMCA… or is it CUSMA?

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is meeting with President Trump and congressional leaders Thursday in Washington. Despite an often strained relationship, both are pushing for Congress to approve the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), also known as the “New NAFTA”, or CUSMA, if you’re speaking for Canada. Mexico also has a way of putting itself first. Whatever it’s called, the broad-reaching trade agreement would have significant effects on trade policy for all involved.
