JAB is a Luxembourg-based holding company run by a secretive German billionaire family. And it’s making quite an impression on the food and beverage business lately. Back in January, the company agreed to pay $26 billion for Dr. Pepper and Snapple. It just added to its lineup by grabbing the British sandwich chain Pret A Manger for $2 billion.
