General Motors and Ford have announced plans to export trucks to China next year. China is a market not typically associated with big American vehicles like the Chevy Silverado or the Ford F-150. For one, it has strict emissions and size restrictions that effectively ban trucks from many big cities. But the times they are a-changing, and automakers are looking increasingly to export markets as part of an intensified global strategy.
