“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is opening this weekend.

It’s a moment of truth that’s a long time coming for the two heroes and for Warner Bros., which has had a tough year and is hoping “Dawn of Justice” will help kick off a vast, Marvel-style super-franchise.

The film brought in an impressive $27.7 million from early screenings Thursday night, but critics haven’t been kind.  We talked with entertainment corespondent Adriene Hill about the stakes and whether we’ve hit superhero saturation.
