This final note on the way out, in which 92-year-old Sumner Redstone finally moves on. CBS announced today that Redstone has resigned as executive chairman.

He’s gonna be replaced by Les Moonves, the president and CEO of CBS.

Redstone owns about 80 percent of CBS and Viacom as well.

He’s been famously reluctant to even discuss handing off control, even as there’ve been questions about his health and his mental capacity.

True story, I interviewed him about 10 years ago so, he was 82-years-old and asked him what was going to happen when he wasn’t around anymore.

He all but jumped over the table and made to strangle me.
