That’s how many vehicles General Motors Co. estimates it sold in 2015, beating its previous record of 17.4 million in 2000. And it’s not the only car company that reported strong numbers for December on Tuesday — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and Ford Motor Co. also reported upticks in sales. As the Wall Street Journal writes, this past month could reflect the best December ever for many of these companies. One reason? Holiday sales.

That’s how many New York City payphones will be converted to Wi-Fi hotspots by July as part of a project that kicks off this month. Named LinkNYC, the initiative already has around $200 million in investment. As the New York Times writes, about 7,500 payphones will be converted by the end of the project.

That’s how many characters Twitter is considering as the new limit for tweets. The limit is currently 140, with 10,000 reserved for DMs. As Re/code writes, the company is testing a version in which the current length of a tweet is preserved, but with a “call to action” that lets users know there’s more to read.
