Uber-popular Rain Room artists talk money and patrons

The Rain Room is currently open at LACMA in Los Angeles… and is completely booked for months. It was created by designers Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, co-founders of the London-based art collective Random International.

Marketplace’s entertainment correspondent Adriene Hill visited the Rain Room, and spoke with Koch and Ortkrass about how it was created and how it was funded. One of the early patrons was Restoration Hardware. Koch and Ortkrass talk about this relationship, and how it feels to partner with such a big underwriter.
