That’s how many are owned by the small but popular chain Stumptown Coffee. But on Tuesday, it was announced the indie darling of coffee shops had been bought up by Peet’s Coffee & Tea, a slightly larger coffee company with 200 stores. As Mashable writes, it’s unclear weather Peet’s plans to maintain or expand Stumptown’s current presence.

That’s how many “job views” can be boasted by Jobr (think: Tinder for job hunting) since the app launched in May. With young job seekers lacking experience to bolster a resume, some employers are trying to find better ways to match up with suitable candidates. Enter the smartphone swipe. Taking a page from Tinder, the dating app, apps like Jobr let users express interest in a job listing with a right swipe, reject with a left. No word yet on a super like….

That’s about how many were destroyed by a wildfire in Central Texas in 2011. Bastrop County, just outside of Austin, was devastated. But in an odd turn of events, certain corners of the local economy saw a boom in business. For example, the local paper saw a huge rise in hospitality businesses looking to pay for advertisements.
